Recently, I acquired a MacBook Air M2 and began working with macOS as a daily driver. In my experience, macOS is convenient for working with both proprietary and open-source software.
As I began customization, I forked my Linux Dot files and adapted them for Mac. Most aliases and shell scripts work as intended, with no or only minor modifications.
Currently, macOS is my only desktop, but I still run a Debian desktop as a Virtual Machine. Trying out macOS has made me take an interest in trying out FreeBSD or NetBSD as a server alternative to Debian.
