Apple macOS and Amethyst Tiling Window Manager
Tiling Window Management and macOS
Recently, I acquired a macOS computer (MacBook Air M2). I have spent this past months moving and adapting my Linux Desktop configurations to macOS and have discovered Amethyst as an ideal Tiling Window Manager. Amethyst is similar to XMonad and works in conjunction with SKHD for managing keyboard shortcuts. Most of the Interface management uses Amethyst shortcuts, while everything else can be set with SKHD. Most of the macOS shortcuts are available. I use SKHD to launch programs and run other commands.
Overall, the macOS experience with Amethyst is great if you already are a costumed to a Tiling Window Manager on Linux. I come from using i3 WM and can say that after using Amethyst, I now wish to move to XMonad when working with a Linux Desktop.
