Book stacking is a method of having at least two books in queue and alternate reading them. Book stacking on the Kindle App is straightforward. You first sort your books by 'Recent', then you open the books you wish to read. After doing this, your books would be organized in a stack, where the last one you read is on top, and the others are placed below that one in the order you read them last.

For example, I currently have 4 books in my stack. Models by Mark Manson, Brothers Karamazov, Networks of New York (2016), and Storytelling by Carlos Salas. As my day goes by, the order of this stack changes. Last week, my stack included a novelization of Silent Hill and the book Death of the PC, which I finished. Book stacking is a powerful way to help yourself read and re-read books you love continuously, even while commuting.

I usually choose one heavy book (a long, difficult to read book) and two or three which are easier to read. In this case, Brothers Karamazov is the longest of all the books I'm reading, and Networks of New York is the shortest and easiest to read of all. Of my current four books, I already read Models & Network of New York. This doesn't mean easier to read books must not be worth your time. Easier books should still be interesting and valuable to you. I choose Networks of New York because it's a book I appreciate and also worth re-reading. Models is also a book that should be re-read regularly. Brothers Karamazov will probably stay for at least two weeks in my stack, while Models and Networks of New York would most likely be replaced by other books on Monday.

By book stacking, you will indeed help yourself read regularly and continuously, even while still being distracted by social media or everyday life. It is also a good way to develop or re-develop reading stamina in the 21st century.
